Greetings to fans, press and other readers. Our last newsletter was published almost 2 months ago, despite the incredible news of Riste Nikolovski’s victory at Monte Rosa Tour. We were planning to combine the celebration of his victory with plans for the future, but we decided to rest Riste and Jordan for a few weeks. We have also decided to switch up the format a bit, race news will now be presented ahead of the rider news, so we can discuss race results first, and personal rider news after. A bit overdue, but hopefully our fans will enjoy this newsletter.
---TEAM NEWS---
Our main team structure news consists of new wheels for the team. The whole team has been supplied with brand new OCM E-Light’s, the leading set of wheels for climbing teams. We are enjoying the collaboration with this brand so far, since these new wheels already provided a tour victory. Hopefully we can extend the partnership soon, to include the fine OCM Maxe frame to our arsenal.
As for our sponsors, Red Average Ltd, Zubizarreta & Son Bricklayer and OCM Magazine are the latest sponsors, Red Average has even renewed a sponsorship deal last week. In total, these sponsors have brought 130k to the team in the past ~2 months. We are enjoying the partnership and are especially grateful to the companies that have shown continual support.

---RACE NEWS---
There’s only one thing to talk about in this section: Riste Nikolovski won the 43d edition of the Monte Rosa Tour! Riste was already the first Macedonian to win a jersey, the YC in the Odyssey of the Oryx, but is now also the first Macedonian to ever win a tour. Riste started out with a solid 4th place in the opening TT, after which a frankly surprising win in the hill stage solidified his position as race leader. The general classification wasn’t in danger at any point during the final 2 climbing stages, in which Riste finished 3d and 2d. Jordan Spirkoski deserves a special mention, the youngster had a shot at the youth classification, but decided to support Riste completely. Jordan still finished 3d in YC, his first notable classification result.
Riste continued his great form surrounding the Swiss tour. Not only did Riste win Jebel Hafeet Challenge, he also became the first Macedonian to win a World Tour race: Sapporo - Mount Asahi (WT). Velosipedska are proud to see many of their riders representing the national team, Riste’s victory is a beautiful reward for the progress Macedonian cycling has made.
After Monte Rosa, our race leaders Riste and Jordan were allowed a period of rest, that will come to an end in a week. In the meantime, Eftim Nastevski and Jovan Georgievski have led the team, and others have had room to participate in breakaways. A 6th place at Bangor Climbs for Jovan was our best result the past few weeks, but most of these races were division 3 races without our main captains. Our next targets will depend on our exact position in the rankings, but the classic Juberri - Pas de la Casa would be a nice goal for Riste.
---RIDER NEWS---
Angel Shaqiri has left the team after enjoying a nice training program in Macedonia. He has currently been involved in 7 races for his new employer, Vaduz, as a flat road specialist. We are happy to see Macedonians spread their wings in the international cycling scene and wish Angel and his new team the best of luck.
Milan Aceski has joined the team. The young hill specialist has almost completed his training, but is still working on the technical aspects of racing. Milan is one of the many talented youngsters from our nation that flood the cycling world, and we are delighted to have him here. He has been touted as the next Dirk-Jan Helwig, so expectations are high! He is currently happy to stay with us, but perhaps Macedonian hill project Alpinisti na Ohrid or an elite hill squad from abroad will be calling for his arrival soon.
Riste Nikolovski has surpassed former teammate and current trainer Gjorgi Beqiri, taking the team record for most appearances. Riste has currently participated in 108 races for Velosipedska. Riste is still only 27, so he will surely add a few races to this record. Slobodan Meglenski is currently at 96 appearances and is set to be the 3d rider to reach 100 races for the team.
Kind regards and thanks for reading,

Haha my 2d point was too long.
2: Jovan and Eftim only got 3 results in 21 races, so they aren't good enough at this level with lacking support.
As for the future, MRT indeed, + either Norway or RotM. TF Riste for MRT GC, TF Jordan for the other race YC, probably.
Ah ok, what is the plan the upcoming season? MRT, RotM double?
@Universal. Well, 2 main reasons for my lack of results.
1. Riste Nikolovski and Jordan Spirkoski were on TF recharge (1 week too long even, after a slight miscalculation). Look at my team, even with them div 3 is too high and div 4 is tricky. I was in div 3 until day 55 this season.
2. Jovan Georgievski and Eftim Nastevski had some shots in the absence of the captains. In that time, they go
Are you still celebrating, or what are your plans? No new results since MRT..
Congrats on MRT win again. :) Still celebrating, right? :)
